How commission works

A customer pays the trip price. Stripe processes the card. Trip Booker's commission is deducted before the rest settles to your connected Stripe account.

Banded commission means the percentage we take depends on the booking size: bookings under £10 hit the highest band, £10–£60 the middle band, over £60 the lowest. This scales fairly: small bookings cover our fixed costs; large bookings don't penalise you on percentage.

Card processing fees at cost. Separate from commission, we recover Stripe's actual card processing fee per booking (currently 25p + 2%). This is not a markup — it's the cost Stripe charges us, passed through unchanged. It appears as a separate line on your monthly VAT invoice (Stripe processing is VAT-exempt under Article 135, so it doesn't carry VAT).

Funds sit in your connected balance until two days after the trip departs, then a daily job triggers the payout to your bank. The two-day window covers complaints, no-shows, and partial refunds before money leaves Trip Booker's control.

Commission is a B2B sale of platform services from Quexo Limited (UK VAT-registered) to you, the operator. We issue a proper monthly VAT invoice via Stripe Invoicing — you reclaim the input VAT as normal.

Pricing is indicative pending operator interviews. We may revise rates before launch — existing operators on the free tier won't be moved to a paid tier without their consent.
